Elective Course Project

Design of a basement under the Office & Production building from third semester project. 

First part of the task was to make 2 proposals for the excavation - sloped excavation and excavation with sheet piles. In both cases, we calculated the volume of soil that has to be excavated, how much of the soil can be used for backfilling, and how much graded material and aggregate needed to be supply. Regarding the drainage system we made a proposal for the dewatering system and made a plan for the building site during the excavation and casting basement time. 

Second part of task was to make necessary drawings to cast the concrete slab and walls in the basement with work specifications, appropriate volume calculation and the time for all work. Eventually, we produced necessary drawings and description of the formwork for walls, bar and mesh schedule and reinforecement calculations. 

In project has been used software: Revit Architecture, Microsoft Office Pack, Microsoft Project and Tipos (Formwork).
