ACTIVITY CENTER BUILDING
Second Semester Project

Design of an activity building for indoor and outdoor events.
The drawing office has previously prepared a Scheme Design for this project, and it had been approved by the client. The task was to scrutinize this material to ensure that the project meets the requirements and on this basis, to prepare a construction project output to the authorities and part of Detail Design 2.
The clients, Kaj and Kate Pedersen, expect the construction of an activity building of approx. 500 m2. Both of the clients enjoy active leisure activities and they want to make it their way of living. Their request is a new activity building (“The Barn”) that will bring together many different activities on the South of Fyn. The activities will include: kayaking, kite surfing, windsurfing, swimming, diving, mountain biking, hiking trip, exercise walking, tree climbing, riding.
The Scheme Design consists of a barn building which is made out of bricks, wood and concrete. The Detail Design 1 consists of all relevant documents to the building application, including letters to the building caseworker, static analysis, calculation of U-values, drainage plans for sewage and surface water, documentation of the building's energy framework and completion of appropriate forms for the application for obtaining a building permit. During Detail Design 2, I had analysed and prepared the work documentation and detail drawings for the concrete contractor that included foundation and basement wall element.
In project has been used software: Revit Architecture, Sigma, Microsoft Office Pack, and Microsoft Project.
